‘Fruitipedia’ was an initiative of the Department of Botany to familiarize students with different varieties of fruits. The event was held on 03-08-2016. The students of the department collected and exhibited a wide variety of fruits in the college portico. Around 120 participants participated in the event, which was a good platform to get familiarized with different kinds of fruits. Teacher and student volunteers from the department explained the benefits of each fruit exhibited. The programme was also an opportunity for the students to enhance their skill in organizing exhibitions. The Principal Rev Dr. Prasant Palakkapillil congratulated the department for venturing out into nature to collect even the rare varieties of fruits. The Head of the Department of Botany, Dr. M.S. Francis welcomed the gathering and introduced the idea behind ‘Fruitipedia.’
